Hammond XK3 Owner's Manual

Ok now, don't say I didn't warn you.

Some of this stuff I type is going to relate to most people, some of it is going to only relate to jazz organists and performing musicians.

This is one of those days when I'm going to appeal to a very small segment of the reading population.

Just so ya know.

I'm posting for my own convenience and anybody else that needs it, the owner's manual for the new Hammond XK3.

This also applies to the programmable module for 'The New Hammond B3'.

If you don't know what the Hammond XK3 or 'The New Hammond B3' is, then this isn't for you, read some other blogs I've written.

Otherwise, dig in

Response to Jessica

This post today is in response to Jessica's comment to my article written last month entitled Black History Month-The Gospel Church, Thomas A. Dorsey

I'm really happy that someone unsolicited came by and left a comment in my blog, and that I can help someone find a gospel church in Austin.

This list is not in anyway exhaustive, but represents some of the ones I've been to. If you would like to promote your Austin area gospel church feel free to add your comments to this page.

1. Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church They are just East of 35, and if you're staying downtown, should be fairly easy to get to. They have a young senior pastor,Gaylon Clark. I find it to be very exuberant. They occasionally feature a dance team. I have co-workers that go to this church, very nice people that I can get you in touch with. Phone 512.478.7578, 1801 Pennsylvania Avenue, Austin, TX 78702

2. Mt Olivet Baptist Church.1179 San Bernard, 478-7023. It is a small but very friendly church. Very talented choir and musicians. A very sweet lady that I work with attends this church, and I can put you in touch with her.

3. Mt Sinai Baptist Church , 5900 Cameron Rd Phone: 512-451-0808 A.W. Anthony Mays, Senior Pastor. A larger church with an active community, Brother Chester D.T. Baldwin is the music minister and a world renowned and respected gospel artist. It's a little bit further from downtown, but worth it if you go.

4. St James Missionary Baptist Church 3417 E. MLK Blvd, Austin, Tx. 78721 512-928-2753. Another church, Dr. B.W. McClendon Sr. Pastor/Teacher, get there early, the church fills up fast and there will be standing room only, but again worth effort. Don't confuse it with St James Episcopal a few blocks further. Again, a little further from downtown, but well worth the drive.

Hope this helps!
